The light is on but the car starts,after a while it goes out but flickers for ages
New distributor fitted last year
Code 2 crankshaft sensor fault ,another distributor fitted then code 46 fault injector system but no code 2 so the garage put the other one back in hmmm so code 2 fault again ,sometimes the car cuts out for a second then everything seems normal.
P.S. i ran out of petrol before these problems,so maybe it is connected

mazda is going to fit another distributor under guarantee and a new fuel filter so i hope the problem is gone

Monday Morning a new Distributor is being fitted

Problem is fixed

Everything pointed to the alternator so with a multi-meter i checked it 12 volts stationary and 14.50 running but sometimes it dropped to 0 volts,one of the wires was broken in the connector to the alternator
So sometimes it was good thats why the light was flickering

Cost €37.50 to fix but i already ordered a new alternator from the ford probe store in england

i had buyed my altenator on a seccond hand store... for 20 euro's
